PRF is derived from the patient's own blood and contains platelets, white blood cells, fibrin and growth factors. The Fibrin Matrix thats created slowly releases growth factors over time which promotes tissue regeneration and healing.
This procedure consists of a small amount of blood being drawn into a vacuum collection tube containing a cell separator gel. The blood is then spun in a centrifuge device until the different components of the blood are separated properly. Your injector will then transfer your platelets and plasma into a new tube containing a calcium chloride solution. Once the components combine in the new tube Fibrin Polymerization begins and after 10 brief minutes you'll have PRF ready to use as deemed appropriate by your provider.
